Aberavon seafront is one of Wales’ longest beaches with a modern promenade that overlooks Swansea Bay. It has a super industrial feel about it. Aberavon Beach at Sandfields in Neath Port Talbot is a 3-mile sandy beach and the northern end of the beach is used by kite buggying enthusiasts and kitesurfers. This is also a popular area for fishing. The beach is ideal for families and (safe) ideal for swimming and kayaking . There is also a skate park, aqua splash playground, children's play areas and grassed areas alongside and is easily accessible for disabled people. The beach is also popular with surfers as well as kite surfers and each year a very successful and hugely popular beach festival.
