Blyth can be a popular spot due to its proximity to Newcastle, particularly during the summer months. Sandy beach which retains space to setup during high tides, sand bars often change but sometimes a lagoon can form at mid to high tide. Water conditions can be varied and the shoredump at Blyth is legendary, beginners should exercise caution in large swell.
