We are delighted to be able to announce a pop up event in Portland this weekend 21st -22nd Oct, with only 12 spots available in each fleet we recommend you get on to entries ASAP… The British Big Air / Freestyle Championships objective is to deliver a high quality competition that is enjoyable for the riders and provides a platform for them to demonstrate their talent and develop their skills. The championships also provide a springboard to the GKA Kite World Tour and International competitions. Riders are encouraged to support each other during the events. To deliver the best possible experience it would be greatly appreciated if every rider offered a bit of assistance when they are not competing (eg judging other categories, flag holder, beach marshal, launching & landing, commentating etc). In this way we can deliver the best possible event for each other. We will be operating in Portland harbour with Big Air being the main focus, We also plan to complete the Pro Men’s Freestyle heats carried over from our Hayling BKC Event. So we can Crown UK Big Air and Freestyle champions. Entry is limited to 12 spots per fleet so get booking on the entry link now. Briefing and Registration. Briefing and registration times will be set out on Friday after entry closes via email, facebook page and whatsApp, briefings and registrations are mandatory. If you are late or do not attend the briefing you will be disqualified. At a lot of events we are restricted with time due to wind and tides, so to ensure the maximum competition time, we need to run smoothly, and all competitors need to help with this. Freestyle Wind permitting the main focus will be the Freestyle Championship. There will be the following categories: - Open Men - Open Women - Amateur Men - Amateur Women - Junior Girls - Junior Boys
